1. Terms & Conditions

Personal E-ZPass Account Registration


Personal account allows maximum of 9 transponders with all vehicles (including RV's) listed having a gross vehicle weight of 15,000 pounds or less.

If you have an RV or other vehicle with a gross vehicle weight over 15,000 pounds, or will need 10 or more transponders, click here to open a Commercial account.

Please have the following information available when you open your account:
  • Email Address
  • Driver's License
  • License Plate Number
  • Credit Card
It may take 7 - 10 business days to receive your transponders.

By checking the "I Agree" box, you hereby consent to all of the terms of this agreement. You also understand that is for a private non-commercial account. Your transponder should only be used in vehicles that are listed on your E-ZPass account. Please add all vehicles to the account in which the transponder may be used. You may add up to 4 vehicles for each transponder on the account. If you register more that 4 vehicles you will need to purchase 2 or more transponders.

This includes the release of any documentation requested by the PTC or its agents from your employer, bank or other reference that will assist the PTC E-ZPass CSC in determining your eligibility.

3. Contacts
The PTC Customer Service Center will only disclose account information to contacts listed on the account. It is strongly encouraged to add a secondary authorized user to your account.

To complete the verification process, enter that code into the “Security Code” text box and click Submit. Standard telephone and SMS charges may apply.
You will receive a notification from the PTC E-ZPass Customer Service Center to verify your request. The subject will be Email Verification Required and will come from DoNotReply@ptcezpassmail.com. If you do not receive it, check your SPAM folder. When you receive it click on the link within the email to verify that you received it. 6. Vehicles

Transponders issued for this account are for vehicles weighing 7,000 pounds or less.

Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight of 7,001 – 15,000 pounds may still be added to the account but may require a separate transponder programed for the specific vehicle type. If your vehicle has a Gross Vehicle Weight of more than 15,000 pounds, you will need to open a Commercial E-ZPass account.

For information regarding a commercial account, visit the PTC Commercial FAQ Page or contact the PTC E-ZPass Customer Service Center at 877.736.6727 Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Your transponder should only be used in vehicles that are listed on your E-ZPass account. Please add all the vehicles to the account in which the transponder may be used. You may add up to 4 vehicles for each transponder on the account.

PA Turnpike E-ZPass customers are responsible for the license plate state and number listed on their account. Be sure to enter your plate information accurately as you will be responsible for any toll charges posted to your account based on your license plate even if you entered the information incorrectly.

If you require additional assistance, please call the PTC E-ZPass Customer Service Center at 877.736.6727, At the prompt, please say 'E-ZPass' and then select Option 1. Customer Service Center hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

8. Replenishment
Auto Replenishment
When you open an E-ZPass account, the minimum payment required is $35 per transponder. The account user is responsible for maintaining this account balance. Please select your replenishment option below.

  • The PTC accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.
  • You must provide a primary replenishment method; a secondary method is recommended but not required.
  • You are required to keep your payment information up to date including the expiration date.
  • The PTC will increase the replenishment amount on your account for any of the following reasons:
    • Your account replenishes more than two times a month for three consecutive months.
    • Increase in usage.

10. E-ZPass Plus
E-ZPass Plus
E-ZPass Plus is a benefit for E-ZPass Customers that allows them to use their transponders to pay for charges at participating facilities displaying the E-ZPass Plus logo. All Accounts with a prepaid balance and a valid credit card for primary replenishment are automatically enrolled in E-ZPass Plus.

  • There is no additional charge for the E-ZPass Plus program.
  • You only pay the charges when they occur.
  • Charges less than $20 will be deducted from your prepaid E-ZPass account balance.
  • Charges of $20 or more will be charged directly to the primary credit card used to replenish your E-ZPass account.
  • All E-ZPass Plus transactions are recorded on your statement.
  • If you replenish your E-ZPass account via ACH or Manual and wish to participate in E-ZPass Plus, you will need to change your replenishment method. Click here to update your replenishment method.
